Member-only story
Itās 12:17pm as I type this from the Winnemucca, Nevada Tesla Supercharger (the furthest one from the handicapped spot, if you must know.)
I have just redeemed a free Dominoās pizza ā which, if you were paying attention, youād already know. I am about to gripe about Dominoās ā against, Iām sure, Anthony Pomplianoās unspoken wishes.
Pomp, you see, is a disciple of Dominoās online ordering system.
This shows as clearly as anything hisā¦umā¦ ālimitations.ā You see, if Pomp were actually up to the task of evaluating the system, heād realize that there are multiple errors/bugs in the system, each of which, if it costs the average customer between 11 and 14 extra seconds, and there are one million pizzas ordered through the system per day (a guess, of course) ā then subsequently result in as follows:
1,000,000 x 11ā14 = 11,000,000ā14,000,000 seconds wasted daily by Dominoās ordering system. This, then is equivalent to:
11ā14M/60 = 183,333ā233,333 hours = (dividing by waking hours, rather than total hours, because it takes up waking time)
up to about 14,583 days per day until the system is completely fixed (assuming an average of a million pizzas per day, of course)
This then is the equivalent of killing one (1) 40 year old,
two (2) 20 year olds
three (3) 13 year, 4-month olds
